Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Introduces Virtual Pet Item, “Tomogunchi”

Totally not an early April Fools.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare - Season 1

As you play through the latest Call of Duty in Modern Warfare as its second full season goes on, did you ever stop to think that the thing you need right now is a small, ’90s throwback virtual pet around your wrist? Well, I guess… this is for you?

The Tomogunchi is a virtual pet that you wear as a watch. Your little monster needs to be taken care of by being fed. Don’t worry, though, you don’t have to stop a match to take care of your little buddy- he feeds on kills, objectives, killstreaks, and wins, so the better you do, the better he does. If you stink it up, well, your poor little guy is going to be toast. If you’re checking your calendars right now, no we’re still in March; this isn’t some early April Fools joke. You can buy your very own Tomogunchi now, and you can check out the video below. It’s not the rumored battle royale mode that was rumored to come out today, but it’s… something.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
