Silent Hill: Broken Covenant was apparently going to be a PS3 exclusive.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories

British video game developer Climax studios known for games such as Silent Hill Origins and Shattered Memories, had another game up their sleeve which no one knew about. A video resurfaced on YouTube showing footage of a forgotten game known as Silent Hill: Broken Covenant.

The footage below is running on the PC and was set to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive. As with any new pitch, this game had the potential to be an amazing Silent Hill game. The game had similar shooting mechanics from Resident Evil 4, and for an unfinished title the lighting and the ambience lend a very frightening atmosphere. Who knows what the final game would have looked like had it been completed.

No one knows why Konami decided to shelve this project but this is the nature of the games industry. New game pitches get turned down every time, projects get canceled and games get delayed.

Thanks, ptoponline.
