Monster Hunter World

Ahead of the January 26, 2018 launch of the latest entry in the looting action series, Monster Hunter World, Capcom has shared with us 20 minutes of footage detailing many elements of the upcoming game.

The video clips introduce weapon actions, new monsters, character creation, home base, new fields and more. The character creator as shown seems very robust and easy to use. It’s hard to glean specifics from the video as it is of course, in Japanese. This is the first Monster Hunter game on current generation systems, marking the first time the series has seen a new home console entry since 2009’s Monster Hunter Tri, and the first true HD Monster Hunter title, as Wii U only received a port.

Capcom is developing Monster Hunter World specifically to take advantage of the power of current hardware to realize a new, expanded vision for the series, with living ecosystems and without area transitions.
