Castlevania Animated Series Coming to Netflix on July 7th

Killing Dracula confirmed

Posted By | On 25th, May. 2017

The Witcher isn’t the only video game-inspired (or novel-inspired) series coming to Netflix. Konami’s classic action adventure series Castlevania will also arrive on July 7th for interested audiences.

Unlike The Witcher, Castlevania will be an animated series. Thus far, the latest teaser seems to indicate Simon Belmont’s involvement. A whip, the “man who’ll kill Dracula” and the prospect of a huge castle pretty much indicate that this indeed Castlevania.

Of course, hardcore fans will appreciate the nostalgia of the first minute which sees an NES cartridge being inserted and Belmont appearing in the opening. The series will have two seasons with the first said to feature four episodes at 30 minutes each. The second season will arrive in 2018.

What are your thoughts on the teaser, especially with the Castlevania games pretty much in stasis since Lords of Shadow 2 in 2014? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
