Konami and Mercury Steam have released a new developer diary for the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Producer Dave Cox and head of development Enric Alvarez talk about the setting for the game and the new environments. Check it out above.

In Lords of Shadow 2, you’ll be controlling Gabriel Belmont/Dracula while being able to explore both a modern city as well as your castle. The look of the game will remind you of past Castlevania games but for those who are new to the series, expect lots of Gothic architecture and design. Interestingly, the native city of Madrid helped Mercury Steam in developing the locations within.

The game boils down to Dracula eventually facing the Devil himself. Who can’t get behind that? Let us know what you think of the game in the comments below. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 releases on February 25th in North America and February 28th in Europe for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
