Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Releasing on February 28th 2014

Marks the final entry in the saga of Gabriel Belmont.

Konami has announced that Mercury Steam’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be releasing on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 on February 28th 2014. It has also been announced that this will be the last game in the saga. Chances Castlevania could emerge again later but the Lords of Shadow story ends with the second game.

Lords of Shadow 2 sees Gabriel Belmont return but in a more sinister form this time around as Dracula. Players will be using magic and new weapons such as the Blood Whip to battle enemies, along with a new character leveling mechanic called Mastery. Enemies will also be tougher this time, with monsters that require armour to be destroed in order to create weaknesses.

The game will also be more open, and allow players to adjust the camera freely. Can we bet on the Wolfman and Frakenstein showing up for a brutal three-way with Dracula? Here’s hoping but we’ll find out next year in February.
