Celebrate The Launch of Gran Turismo 6 With This New Trailer

Are you ready?

Gran Turismo 6, the sixth mainline installment in Sony and Polyphony Digital’s ling running flagship racing sim franchise, and the second entry on the PlayStation 3 (following up the much maligned Gran Turismo 5) finally launches, and to celebrate that launch, Sony has given us a new trailer.

The launch trailer for the game is actually the intro movie that you see when you boot the title up, so you’ll also see a whole lot credits in this video (along with extremely minimal actual in game gameplay footage). It still looks good though, and plays to the notion that for the lover and connoisseur of cars, Gran Turismo is, and should remain, the go to video game.

We will have more coverage of the video game up for you soon, including our full review of the title. Gran Turismo 6 goes up against Microsoft and Turn 10’s excellent (but mired in microtransactions) Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One, so it will be interesting to see how well a PS3 title can hold up against an Xbox One game.
