Chivalry 2

Torn Banner Studios’ Chivalry 2 is the latest game to suffer a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The sequel is now set to release in 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and PC simultaneously. In a new development update, the developer spoke about “working together in new ways in a COVID-19 world” and how its timelines were shifting “to utilize this additional time to better meet our core goals for Chivalry 2.”

This means that along with implementing quality of life features and improvements, content originally planned for post-launch will now be included in the base game. So players can look forward to more maps and features. However, horses have suffered a setback and are now slated to arrive post-launch.

The next closed alpha build is in the works and there will be a few more rounds to garner feedback and implement it until the public beta. As a result, the beta originally planned for Summer will now take place later. Torn Banner Studios promised a new date in the coming days so stay tuned for further updates.
