Cities Skylines

The developer for Cities Skyline apparently has some plans for the series to grow and expand to its full potential. In an interview with Techradar, Colossal Order CEO Mariina Hallikainen stated that the team will continue to lend support to the game.

She further stated “I’m hoping that will be some years in the future because there’s so many ideas we want to add to the game before going there.” However there are tons of modders that add some pretty amazing stuff to the game, so much so that the developers feel that they no longer need to do anything more to the game. However Hallikainen said Colossal Order wants to stretch itself and do what the modders are incapable of doing.

She stated, “We want to make things that are really grand and big, and we’re not sure how easy natural disasters would be for modders to do. To have developers working on big features like that would be beneficial for all Skylines players because we need to remember that the majority of players don’t use mods. We don’t have plans to work on natural disasters yet, but it would be cool to have because we already have the water system in place.”

Cities: Skylines has been a commercially successful, selling over 1 million copies.
