Cities: Skylines Hits 1 Million Units Sold

A staggering 33,569 mods are currently available through Steam.

Paradox Interactive could have never anticipated the success of Colossal Order’s Cities: Skylines when it agreed to publish the game. However, the success of the city builder continues to impress as it’s already sold 1 million copies worldwide since launch. Even more impressive is the mod support for the game – modders have created a staggering 33,569 mods for the game since launch through Steam Workshop.

Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester stated that, “We continue to be amazed at just how players have embraced Cities: Skylines.

“The game is still selling at a steady pace, which is remarkable for a game that has been on sale for well over a month. Once again, we want to thank everyone that has supported and continues to support this game.”
