Code Vein

Code Vein, an action RPG coming from Bandai Namco, is looking to take the Dark Souls formula into a different visual direction with a heavily inspired anime look and a buddy system. We’ve gotten several glimpses at various aspects of the game, but now we’re getting our longest yet via a stage event at the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong conference.

You can see the stage show below. The video is in Chinese, but if you skip to 16:15, you’ll see the large chunks of gameplay. A lot of it seems to be early game footage, but true to the type of game it’s trying to be, there are a lot of deaths, especially when they get to the boss fight. There’s also a new snow area we haven’t seen, yet. Check it out below.

Code Vein will release September 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can also check out GamingBolt’s interview about the game and get an even better idea of what type of game it’ll be.
