EA has revealed a new trailer for the upcoming free to play Command and Conquer online title which utilizes Frostbite 3 and will look to incorporate many of the mechanics that made the Generals series so popular. Check it out above and decide for yourself whether they got it right.

After the critical bashing and commercial failure of Tiberium Twilight, it was decided that EA would go back to the basics and revisit the Generals series, one of the better titles in the franchise. However, inspiration struck last year and EA decided to make the next Generals title a free to play title, simply named Command and Conquer.

It’s been taken seriously enough though, as can be evidenced by the trailer. The game will boast dozens of Generals to choose each with their own unique powers and personalities, lots of unique units and the same compelling gameplay that put the series on the map.
