Commander Cherry’s Puzzled Journey Mixes Real-Life Excerise With 2D Platforming

Looks damn fantastic overall.

Imagine the most innovative platformer out there. Think about the ways the game made you think and rethink the ways you played games. Does Grande Games throw all of that out of the window and reinvent the wheel with Commander Cherry’s Puzzled Journey? Maybe not, but we’ll be damned if this isn’t one of the most intensively interesting games we’ve seen in a while.

A new video reveals the key mechanics of the game, which involves a player standing before the PS4 Eye camera and using the DualShock 4 camera to control Commander Cherry across different levels. When you reach an impasse, you create different shapes with your body and “print” these out to act as platforms for Cherry to cross.

At some points, you’ll have to fit into pre-determined shapes for platforms proving the game’s excerise action platformer tag true. It sounds ridiculous, sure, but it also looks like a lot of fun. Check it out above and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
