It’s been a long time coming, where we’ve seen THQ’s fortunes go from bad to worse, but Relic Entertainment’s Company of Heroes 2 has finally been unveiled to the public via a short teaser trailer showcasing a few gameplay elements.

As a sequel to the original, which won numerous awards for “Strategy Games of the Year” and even for “Best PC Game”, Company of Heroes 2 has you playing as a Soviet commander with leading the Red Army against the Nazis in 1941. The conflict is brutal, leading to more than 14 million casualties in the Eastern Front theatre but ultimately served to topple the Nazi regime for good.

Not much has been revealed as of yet, except that the game will utilize a similar perspective to the original and elements like vehicles. For more information on the game, hit up Relic’s official site. Company of Heroes 2 is slated for a PC release and is currently up for pre-order.
