Drakesfall Castle
Hernand Region
Requires prior completion of the story epilogue quest ‘Journey’s End’.
Begin by clearing out the present occupants of Drakesfall Castle. This should unlock the ‘Shield of Hernand’ faction questline.
This will eventually lead to the Greymanes being awarded Drakesfall Castle by Duke Celeste.
But that won’t be the end of it, as the castle still needs to be rebuilt before you can make it your own.
The ‘Castle Construction’ mission will require 20 comrades, including one skilled in construction, to be dispatched along with 30,000 in funds, and will take a duration of 15 whole in-game days until you can finally own your first stronghold.
Flame Knights’ Castle
Demeniss Region
Requires prior completion of the story epilogue quest ‘Journey’s End’.
This castle requires embarking upon Damiane’s new DLC questline ‘From The Ashes’ all the way through its final quest: ‘Path of the Politician’.
Next, boot out the current denizens of the Flame Knights’ Castle itself, in order to unlock the faction questline ‘A Memory Beyond Ashes’.
Progress through it until you are permitted to dispatch Greymanes to rebuild it as well.
Restoration is much steeper than Drakesfall Castle, and aside from the 20 comrades, will require:
- 100,000 funds
- 10,000 weapons
- 10,000 provisions
- 40,000 stone
- 40,000 wood
These are all from the camp pool of resources of course, so you will need to farm a ton of background missions where you dispatch your comrades on resource gathering tasks. The Flame Knights’ Castle also takes a tedious 15 days to reconstruct.
