Crimson Desert is now quite close to its release, and the developers have been giving us a lot of new information about Pywel and the people in it, alongside all the things you get to do as you travel across its vast landscape.
We’re definitely itching to get started with our adventure as Kliff, and our enthusiasm has been elevated by the knowledge that he’s played by Alec Newman, as a tweet reveals the game’s talented cast of voice actors. Commenting on the role in an interview with Epic Games, Newman, who you might know as Adam Smasher from Cyberpunk 2077, speaks about the unique spin he put on Kliff to bring out his softer side in the game.
“His voice was low—almost a growl sometimes. It’s a lower register than my natural speaking voice, but it brings an attitude that seemed to work for Kliff. There was danger in his voice, but also enormous warmth and a sense of loyalty.”
Damiane and Oongka, the other two of the game’s playable trio, are brought to life by Rebecca Hansen and Stewart Scudamore, respectively. Hansen is known for her role as Alfira in Baldur’s Gate 3 (you might have seen a very brief version of her work if you went with a certain urge in that one), while Scudamore has lent his voice to the Netflix League of Legends tie-in Arcane.
You can find other talented members of the game’s voice cast in the original tweet below. Crimson Desert, meanwhile, arrives on March 19th.
