Crytek will be holding talks at GDC Europe, which will take place on August 19th to 21st at the Cologne Congress-Centrum Ost in Cologne, Germany. The even will be occurring just before Gamescom 2013. Executive producer Joshua Howard will be making an appearance to hold a talk with attendees on “Better Teams Through Game Design.” With experience in free to play shooter Warface and All Points Bulletin, Howard will be discussing how to create more productive teams.
Meanwhile, Sproing programmer Eugen Jiresch will be holding a talk titled “Flash to the Max! High Performance 3D Graphics in Silent Hunter Online” in which he talks about Ubisoft’s latest naval warfare browser game. Given the limitations that browsers present, Jiresch will talk about how exactly he went about porting C++ console rendering engine in to Adobe Flash with Actionscript/Stage3D and AGAL to achieve the impressive visual effects seen in the game.
Finally, head of business development at Plarium, which developed Stormfall: Age of War, Leonard Frankel will hold a talk on “Growing a Hardcore Game on Facebook” with information mechanics, platform integration and exponential growth through payments.
