There is no way that was real.

Crytek has made some of the best looking games in the world- remember the original Far Cry? Remember Crysis? Remember Ryse? So it was exciting to consider just what they might do with virtual reality. And now we have to consider no longer- at Paris Games Week, Crytek and Sony took the stage to announce a brand new game for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation VR headset. It is called Robinson: The Journey, it seems to feature a person stranded in the time of dinosaurs with just a Destiny Ghost-esque companion for company, and some mind blowingly great graphics.

Seriously, there is no way that what we saw was real. Oh, sure, it can easily achieved as a pre-rendered gameplay- but running at 1080p, 120FPS (necessary to reduce flickering and therefore nausea in virtual reality), and to look as good as that was looking? Absolutely impossible.

Which doesn’t kill my excitement from just how good the showing was. You cab check it out for yourself below.
