After being closed by Crytek (along with five other studios), Crytek Black Sea has reformed into a new developer called Black Sea Games.

Headed by Vesselin Hanjiev, who was also managing director under Crytek, Black Sea Games is currently working on a new project.

Its mission statement noted that, “Our mission is to create hard-core games that will entertain you over and over again. We believe the best gaming experiences are coming from challenging the players with meaningful choices, while giving them the freedom to create (and share) their own in-game stories.”

Interestingly, the website noted that Black Sea Studios had come up in November 2016 while Crytek announced the closure of Crytek Black Sea in December. Though it’s currently working on a project, it’s not ready to announce anything yet. The number of former Crytek Black Sea staff that are a part of the new studio is also unknown.

Nevertheless, what are your thoughts on Black Sea Games’ formation? Let us know in the comments.
