It was almost a full decade ago when Cyberpunk 2077 was announced, and it’s been roughly half a decade since we’ve been getting at least some kind of semi-regular update on the game. Now, it’s almost here, as hard as that is to believe. While the reception was maybe not as overwhelming as many expected, overall it’s been well-received, but even those high on the game have noted that it’s technically pretty rough. The game suffered some high profile delays, and it seems to have come in pretty hot. If you’re worried about it, well, CD Projekt RED wants to assure you it’ll be fine.

Taking to Twitter, CDPR PR Manager Fabian Mario Döhla was asked about whether or not the reviews out there were based on the day 1 update or not. It seems they weren’t, and Fabian even said that most of the issues reviewers found have largely been fixed. For instance, he said that one thing people had problems with was running the game on settings a bit too high. He didn’t get into any other specifics however. He does also say that others will be addressed in an update.

Now, of course, we are talking about the PR manager and all here, so you can chose how far you want to take the word there, but let’s be hopeful and all. He also said that the game will be getting a massive update on consoles day 1 to basically turn those versions into a “different game.” Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on December 10th, so we’ll see for ourselves soon.
