Cyberpunk 2077 launches in less than a couple of days from now, and while the general feeling is one of excitement, there has been concern over the game’s technical aspects in the lead-up to its launch. More specifically, there has been concern over how the game will run on the base Xbox One and PS4. With early reviews for the PC build having brought up numerous technical issues, those concerns have only been compounded.
The game is, of course, getting a day one patch, which will hopefully fix some of the most major issues. CD Projekt RED’s Fabian Mario Döhla definitely seems to suggest that that will be the case. Taking to Twitter, when asked about the day one update for the game on consoles, Döhla said that Cyberpunk 2077 will be “a different game”, which would suggests that major fixes and polishing work are inbound.
For what it’s worth, CD Projekt RED have said that Cyberpunk 2077 on base PS4 and Xbox One is “surprisingly good for such a huge world”. Read more on that through here.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches on December 10 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. It will be playable on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 via backward compatibility, and will also have options for performance and quality modes.
Head on over here to see when exactly the game will unlock in your region.
It is a different game with console update, yes.
