We’ve heard plenty about Cyberpunk 2077 in recent weeks, from the variety of weapons it will offer to players, to how its world will be completely handcrafted. Here, we have some more information, that comes courtesy of CD Projekt RED’s Marcin Momot, who briefly spoke about a few things from the game over on the official CD Projekt RED forums.

Speaking about the game’s soundtrack, Momot mentioned that CD Projekt RED have made sure to make the music match the tone and setting of Cyberpunk 2077 “just right”, but also said that many will be surprised by the direction the game’s soundtrack takes in general. “I have a feeling a lot of folks will be really surprised with the general music direction we’re taking with the game,” he said. “It will obviously match the theme and compliment the world just right, however I don’t think many are expecting where we’re going.”

Meanwhile, speaking in a separate thread, Momot briefly talked about how shooting will function in the game, explaining that hip firing will be available as an option to players, but that shooting while aiming down the sights will provide additional bonuses (beyond the obvious accuracy boost, I assume). He also added that players will be able to equip augmentations that will improve hip firing, making both methods of shooting equally viable.

“You won’t be forced to aim down the sight all the time when shooting,” Momot said. “You’ll be able to fire from your hip as well.”

“Various augmentations will be able to improve firing from the hip so it will be viable to use both ways of shooting,” he added in another message. “Sight, however, can also provide some additional bonuses.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for a launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Though CD Projekt RED remain tight-lipped on when exactly that might be, recent reports have suggested that the game could be out by the end of this year.
