Posted By | On 25th, Nov. 2014

From Software has announced a new standalone title in the Dark Souls 2 series with Scholar of the First Sin. This will add some new gameplay features but will be available for free to those who already own Dark Souls 2 on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The big announcement is that Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin will also release on the Xbox One and PS4, marking the series’ debut on current gen platforms.

There will be more than just content from the update – the PS4 and Xbox One versions will include new NPCs, some new in-game events which will further the story, new item descriptions and brand new game content. Of course it will also have better visuals though we’ll have to wait and see whether this is a full remaster or just a bump in resolution and details.

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin is out on April 7th 2015. Stay tuned for more information on the same.
