Gameplay footage for Dark Souls 3’s first of two story DLC, Ashes of Ariandel, is now available but be warned. Spoilers lie ahead, especially because some of the enemies seem to hint at previously established characters. Proceed with caution.

But there’s no denying that there’s plenty of danger to see in the DLC be it from new enemy types or new bosses. We’re intrigued, especially given the winter landscapes we’ll be exploring. As per Bandai Namco, Ashes of Ariandel will feature a “terrible secret that lies within an unnamed frozen land.” Then there are the new weapons and armour that are waiting to be discovered.

The Dark Souls 3 Season Pass currently retails for $24.99 (on Steam at least) and will release on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The second DLC is expected to arrive next year. What are your thoughts on the gameplay? Let us know in the comments below.
