Dark Souls 3 Publisher Warns About Playing Release Early

Lack of a day one patch may not make for the best experience.

Dark Souls 3

If you perform the right workarounds, especially on Xbox One, it’s possible to play the Japanese version of From Software’s Dark Souls 3 in English. For players in North America and Europe, that’s a pretty big deal.

However, Bandai Namco has warned that the experience isn’t complete overall. This is due to the lack of a day one patch, thus making the game somewhat unfinished in its current state. The current version of the game lacks multiplayer and further optimization is promised with the day one patch.

Then again, when it comes to getting your hands on the game early, some players may just take the risk and play Dark Souls 3 before it’s officially out in the West. Dark Souls 3 releases on April 12th for PS4, Xbox One and PC outside of Japan. What are your thoughts on trying the game early as opposed to just waiting? Let us know in the comments below.
