Mintrocket’s Dave the Diver, a fishing/restaurant management title, has reached over one million players. The title entered early access in October 2022 but quickly grew in popularity. It currently has 29,190 user reviews on Steam, with 97 percent being positive, resulting in an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating.

In a Steam Community post, the developer said it was “thrilled” to have reached so many users. “We are immensely grateful to each and every one of you. While acknowledging areas for improvement, we have diligently addressed them with invaluable feedback from our engaged community. This indispensable input is undeniably what led to positive reviews internationally.”

The official launch isn’t the end for the title, as Mintrocket is committed to “carefully listening to your opinions and continuously adding enjoyable and exciting content. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and encourage you to stay tuned for more updates.”

Dave the Diver is about Dave, who ventures into the Blue Hole during the daytime to catch fish using various tools. You have limited oxygen, which means prioritizing certain items and fish. Once night falls, you run an exotic sushi restaurant. Earn more cash to upgrade and craft new equipment to venture further into the depths.

Along with a great soundtrack and pixel-art style, Dave the Diver also has a strong story, mini-games to partake in, and side quests to complete. It’s available only on PC but will also release on Nintendo Switch later this year.
