DayZ Targeting 4K On Both Xbox One And PS4 Pro, 1080p/60fps Mode Also Suggested

That should be good for Pro and One X owners.

DayZ

We already knew that DayZ, the long awaited zombie multiplayer survival game, will hit 4K and 30fps on Xbox One X; however, it looks like that is graphical fidelity that it will end up achieving on PS4 Pro as well . Speaking to GamingBolt, Eugen Harton, Lead Producer of DayZ at Bohemia Interactive noted that the game will support 4K across both systems, and that Bohemia is also looking at an option to support 1080p and 60fps.

“Currently we’re mostly talking about supporting 4K and enabling 1080p60FPS gameplay. We will, however, confirm all the enhancements once the time comes,” Harton said.

Harton also noted that the Xbox One X should be powerful enough to render high end AAA games in native 4K, when asked that question.

“Yes, [the Xbox One X is powerful enough to render high end AAA games at native 4K] – DayZ is not a AAA production, but it runs nicely in 4K on Xbox One X while offering a visual experience that’s well worth a AAA game,” he noted.

So that’s good, of course- for whenever DayZ comes out, I guess PS4 Pro and Xbox One X players have high end graphics and performance to look forward to from the game. As of right now, though, there is no release date for the final console version of the game announced, so we might be waiting for a while.
