A week after the release of Alan Wake as a playable Survivor in Dead by Daylight, developer Behaviour Interactive has announced that its new limited time Modifier, Lights Out, is now live in the game. For context, Modifiers are adjustment made to the existing Trial mode in Dead by Daylight, offering up new ways to play the game for both Killers and Survivors.

Available until February 14, the Lights Out Modifier shrouds the game’s map in darkness, offering players a limited UI. Players on both sides will also notice that their Perks have been disabled, and Survivors will have to deal with the fact that the Killer doesn’t have a Terror Radius anymore, further limiting the Survivors’ situational awareness.

Killers, on the other hand, will have to figure out how to track Survivors despite the lack of Scratch Marks. Killers will also have to contend with items that are more easily available to Survivors owing to there being more Chests in the map with high quality items.

Dead by Daylight is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
