Dead Island 2 Is Still Under Development, Deep Silver ‘Excited’ By The Progress That It Is Making

'When we are ready to share more information, we will.'

Remember Dead Island 2? The sequel to the co-op zombie loot action game was announced a few years ago, then disappeared from the public eye after there was reportedly trouble with its development. However, Deep Silver continued to insist that the game is still under active development– a stance that they reiterated earlier today to Eurogamer.

Dead Island 2 is in development at Sumo Digital, and we are excited by the progress the team are making with Deep Silver’s most successful IP. When we are ready to share more information, we will”, Deep Silver told Eurogamer.

When that will be is entirely unknown as of right now- but hopefully, we can see more of the game at E3 this year. Right now, all we have is a concept trailer for the game that is unlikely to even resemble the final product in any capacity. From what we heard last, the game is due out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
