It was rumoured that Housemarque’s Dead Nation would arrive as a free game for the PlayStation 4 as part of the PlayStation Plus situation. Now it seems all but confirmed as the PlayStation Blog in Asia has outed Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for the PlayStation 4. We’ll need to wait and see if this arrives for Europe and North America, since most of the other free titles are predominantly Japanese.

Housemarque is perhaps better known for their work on the breakout indie shooter Resogun, which launched with the PS4 in November and quickly garnered all the critical acclaim. However, Dead Nation was their first game for Sony as it debuted on the PlayStation 3 several years ago and quickly became one of the better top-down zombie shooting solutions on the system.

Expect the usual graphical upgrade along with Remote Play support for the Vita. Are you excited for the rebirth of Dead Nation? Let us know below.
