Koei Tecmo has announced that Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on June 25. The announcement was made with a brand new trailer during the recent State of Play showcase, giving us a renewed look at the updated version of the 2019 fighting game.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will feature 29 playable characters, of which 24 are from the original 2019 release and 5 are DLC fighters. Characters will also be getting new costumes, including iconic ones like Kasumi and Marie Rose, among others.

The PS5 launch will ensure that Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will make use of the current-gen console’s modern hardware to allow for the best visuals and frame rates possible. Along with this, it also has a photo mode that players can use to showcase their favorite fighters.

The title will be released in the form of a standard edition, as well as a free-to-play version. The latter will only include four playable characters: Kasumi, NiCO, Marie Rose, and Honoka. Despite this, however, free-to-play players can take on any other player from all over the world, including those that own the standard edition of the game.

The company had also confirmed that a brand new entry in the Dead or Alive franchise was in the works. While no details had been revealed, a teaser trailer was shown off giving us a look at new versions of Ryu Hayabusa and Kasumi. Check out our coverage for more details.
