The just announced remasters of Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 won’t be developed internally at Capcom- instead, it sounds like the company has outsourced development of these games to external studios.

The original Dead Rising will be launching for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 courtesy of Polish studio QLOC, who also developed the PS4 and Xbox One versions of DmC: Devil May Cry, Capcom’s infamous Devil May Cry reboot. Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, meanwhile, will be handled by Mercenary Technology.

This does make sense, if you think about it- series custodian Capcom Vancouver are currently hard at work, presumably, on Dead Rising 4, which has been announced for release later this year on Xbox One and Windows 10. Meanwhile, you can check out new screenshots for both the remasters below.
