Dead Space Remake

As promised in March, Motive Studios will host another livestream for its Dead Space remake this month. It’s now officially confirmed to be streaming on May 12th at 10 AM PT via YouTube and Twitch.

Titled “Crafting the Tension”, the stream will on the game’s art with topics taken from the community. Overall, it should be interesting to see what else the remake changes over the original’s aesthetic. The last livestream focused on sound design and showcased new elements like the A.L.I.V.E. system which changes the sound of dialogue based on Isaac’s stress level, sprinting and so on.

Motive also revealed new sounds for the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle. However, after feedback from the community, it revamped the same – you can head here to learn more. We’ll have to wait and see if it changes elements of the art design based on feedback from this livestream.

The Dead Space remake is currently slated to release in early 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
