Death Stranding Final Version On PS4 Will Look Better Than What Was Shown At The Game Awards

Even better than The Game Awards' footage? Count me in!

Death Stranding

Death Stranding was shown off running on the PlayStation 4 Pro in 4K and it looked absolutely stunning during The Game Awards. However during a panel at PlayStation Experience today, Hideo Kojima confirmed that the final game will look even better than what was shown off at The Game Awards.

Given that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain ran at 1080p and 60fps on the PS4, we have little doubt that Kojima’s tech team will be able to push the visuals even more on the PS4 Pro. Running on the Decima engine, a set of framework and tools that is being developed by Guerrilla Games, this new engine features full support for physical based rendering pipeline resulting into realistic lighting properties for each object in the game.

Death Stranding currently does not have a release date yet. It will be a timed exclusive for the PS4 but will launch on the PC sometime later after it launches on Sony’s console.
