Death Stranding Has Surpassed Experimental Phase, Gameplay Being Tested

Great news for the fans.

Hideo Kojima’s upcoming Death Stranding was first announced a while back now, and ever since then, the hype surrounding the game has been through the roof. That said, we know surprisingly little of the game, in spite of the fact that we’ve seen three meaty trailers for it already so far, and this has caused some people to wonder whether the game’s development has been facing problems.

That, however, doesn’t seem to be the case. Kojima recently sat down for an interview with Dengeki, and he talked about several things related to his upcoming games, one of which was how its development is going. Kojima acknowledged that there hasn’t been a lot of information released for Death Stranding so far, but went on to assure fans that development is progressing nicely.

“Ever since December 2016 we had not published new information, and there ought to be many fans who were getting worried or even imagining many things, but please rest assured,” Kojima said. “Currently, we have surpassed the experiment phase, and by entering the next step, we’re feeling the response to the new gameplay.”

That’s definitely encouraging to hear, especially for people who have doubts about whether Kojima can deliver another big budget title on time (and there seem to be quite a lot of these people). Regardless, Death Stranding is without a release date so far- though we don’t expect it to launch anytime before 2019. That isn’t official, of course, so let’s wait and watch. Stay tuned to GamingBolt and we’ll keep you updated on any new info that comes our way.
