The last couple of chapters in Deltarune left things at a pretty agonizing juncture for Kris and Co. Well, we’re glad to tell you that the next step in that riveting journey is out now, with Chapter 5 announced in style with a new trailer, which we’ve showcased below.
The Dark Fountains beckon, and you’re going to have to make your way through a lot of danger, choosing to either spare your foes or dispatch them with extreme prejudice. Of course, the turn-based mechanics are there to keep you on your toes as you meet faces both familiar and fresh in this indie gem that’s had us pretty invested in how it turns out, thanks to how well it connects back to Undertale.
You’re going to be entertained, and possibly even moved by a story that brings twists you never saw coming until they’re in front of you, while the gameplay can have you choosing between life and death more often than you think. While available on PS5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and PS4, the response on Steam has been exceptional, setting a new concurrent player record of 291,816 for the title, a significant jump over the 133,930 players at launch.
