Toby Fox’s off-beat RPG Deltarune will see the launch of Chapters 3 and 4 in a $24.99 package that also includes the first two chapters (both of which were released for free) on June 5 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC. When it launches, it will support cross-generational purchases on the same family of platforms, Toby Fox has confirmed.

In a newsletter on his official blog, Fox confirmed that buying Deltarune on either PS5 or PS4 will also give you access to the game on the other platform at no additional price. On Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, things will work pretty much the same way, but only if you use the same Nintendo Account on both platforms.

“Thanks to cross-buy, when you buy Deltarune on the PlayStation Store, you get both PS4 and PS5 versions for one price,” Fox wrote. “And we’re gonna do (basically) the same thing on Nintendo platforms! If you buy the game on Nintendo Switch and decide you want the Switch 2 version later, you can get it at no additional cost! And vice-versa! (Except in Japan, where local laws require us to charge a small fee.) That’s right, for one single price, you’ll be able to get both versions of the game – that means both versions of the special room!”

Deltarune won’t end with its upcoming chapters. Fox has previously confirmed there are more chapters he intends to release, though what exactly the game’s future looks like is currently unclear. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days and weeks.
