After numerous complaints, Bungie has released a new patch for Destiny. The 1.0.2 update focuses on fixing Engrams with the common complaint being that Legendary Engrams would often not deliver Legendary items. Given how difficult they are to obtain, it’s quite the annoyance.

The patch changes this though, with Legendary Engrams now always giving you Legendary or better items. Meanwhile, Rare Engrams will deliver Rare or better items. The chance for Legendaries is also higher than before. Chances of picking up Legendary loot has also been increased and you’ll have a chance to obtain Rare and Legendary Engrams from Vanguard’s Tiger Strike Playlist, the first Daily Heroic mission and the first Weekly Heroic mission. Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Energy have also been upgraded from Rare to Legendary.

If you tried to stockpile your Legendary Engrams prior to the patch, they will be downgraded to Rare quality. Check out the full patch notes here and let us know what you think of these changes.
