If you don’t own Destiny 2, Bungie’s shared world shooter that was pretty lacklustre pre-Forsaken, you can avail of the game being free on PC till November 18th. However, if you own it but haven’t dipped into Forsaken, there’s still some good news for you, because Gambit will receive a free trial this weekend. It’s available from November 9th to 11th starting at 9 AM PDT for all Destiny 2 owners.

Gambit offers a unique fusion of PvE and PvP. Two teams compete to bank Motes by killing enemies in separate instances. Banking different numbers of Motes will send Blockers to the enemy team, and eventually, there will be the option to send an invader to disrupt their progress. The round ends when 75 Motes are banked and the summoned Primeval is slain by one of the teams.

With four different maps and numerous enemy races to fight, there’s quite a bit of variety and strategy to be had in Gambit. On the whole, Bungie has been updating Destiny 2 with decent amounts of content after Forsaken. The recent Festival of the Lost provided an “endless” dungeon of sorts for players to delve into, along with a new quest.
