Destiny 2: How To Find Gold Loot Crates On The Map

Getting some higher level loot relatively easily.

Gold loot crates are notable in Destiny 2 because they house higher quality loot than you can ordinarily get in regular loot drops. So you naturally want to try and hunt these down- the surprising thing is, trying to find out where they are is not the hard part. All you have to do is pull up your map and try and find an icon that looks like a + with a dot in the center. That’s where these chests are.

But there are some caveats:

  • You can’t set waypoints to these chests
  • Getting to them is a severe annoyance

What this means is, while knowing where these loots are is relatively easy, getting to them is the hard part. That said, it could be well worth it- especially in the early to mid game, the drops are truly better than what you might find elsewhere, so I suggest putting in the legwork necessary to avail of these drops.
