There are a few trends that have become increasingly common for console games over the last generation, at least on the PS4 and especially on the Xbox One- generally speaking, game file sizes have continued to balloon to massive proportions on the two systems, until even the original 500GB hard drive that they both came with on board has proven to be insufficient.
Which is why it is surprising that the Xbox One version of Destiny 2, which is now listed on the Xbox.com Marketplace, isn’t actually that big at all. According to the store listing, the file size for Destiny 2, which will launch on the Xbox One and PS4 this September, is just 29.15GB.
That’s not too big- though bear in mind, this is just the base game, without any updates, DLC, or expansions- all of which Destiny got a lot of, and which added to its size over the years. Destiny 2 launches this September, with a PC version following in October.
