Destiny 2 is a go- Activision have already been very open with their plans to launch it next year, and it appears as though right now, most of Bungie are working on it. Activision Blizzard CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed in an earnings call that the game is still on track to release next year.

He also confirmed that excitement for Rise of Iron, currently slated to be the final expansion for Destiny, appears to be rising, noting an increase in pre-order numbers- in fact, pre-orders for the expansion appear to be ahead of pre-orders for The Taken King at the same time last year. “[This is] evidence of the continued passion and engagement for this game and this universe from the community,” Hirshberg said, also promising more updates for the game planned by Bungie for later in the year.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is due out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next month. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments section below.
