Bungie has confirmed that it will be releasing Update 1.0.1.3 for its just released Destiny 2 next week, for the Xbox One and the PS4. The patch was announced by Bungie in its latest weekly blog post, and while Bungie stated a desire to release it within a week, it also admitted that as of right now, it is unable to commit to a final release date.
As for what the patch will do, it appears to be a problem fixing update- Bungie specifies that the update will address some of the “known issues” with Destiny 2, but they have refused to go into any more detail about what those issues might be. Presumably, the crashes the game suffers from on the PS4 Pro, as well as the presence of some problematic gear in the game, are among the issues that will be targeted in particular.
This week, Bungie added Xur and the game’s first raid, The Leviathan, to Destiny 2 as well. Destiny 2 is out now on PS4 and Xbox One, with a release for PC scheduled for next month.
