After an initial hiccup wherein the banner was displayed but nothing was to be found in the Tower, Destiny’s Armsday has finally gone live.

The event allows players to field test weapons for the Gunsmith, Banshee-44, and earn reputation for the chance to receive free guns on Wednesday with random perks. The weapons in question that you can use include the Omolon Test FR1, a fusion rifle which must be used in the Crucible to “gather data”; the Hakke Test-A pulse rifle, which requires precision shots; the SUROS TSR-10, a rocket launcher which must be used against “high ranking” foes; the Hakke Test-A sniper rifle, which requires double kills; and the Omolon Test RR1 sniper rifle, which must be used in Crucible.

Each weapon has 150 attack so they’re pretty much in line with your standard weaponry (thanks to update 2.0). Head here to check out the respective perks of each weapons. Destiny’s The Taken King launches on September 15th with next week’s Armsday scheduled for September 16th.
