Destiny Beta: PS4 Versus PS3 Shows Graphical Differences

Not a 'generational' difference.

Posted By | On 20th, Jul. 2014

A couple of days ago, Bungie kickstarted Destiny beta on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. This gave an avid Youtube user the chance to make a graphics comparison between the two versions. Surprisingly, the differences between the two are quite minimal. Obviously the PlayStation 4 version features high resolution textures, better shadow and anti-aliasing, but the PlayStation 3 version is not that far behind.

In fact for anyone who hasn’t seen the current gen version of the beta will feel right at home with the last gen version, but this could merely be a case of developers aiming for parity across the platforms. Bungie will also be initiating the beta on the Xbox platforms on July 23rd so it will be interesting to see how the four platforms match against each other

Destiny will launch on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 this September. For more on the game, check out our hub page here.  Thoughts? Let us know in the comments section below.
