Bungie’s Destiny will be receiving its next hotfix on February 14th as per the latest weekly update. Dubbed hotfix 2.5.0.2, it will purportedly balance weapons keeping PvP in mind.

A live-stream will be taking place on Twitch at 10 AM PST where sandbox designers Josh Hamrick and Greg Peng will go through all the changes in hotfix 2.5.0.2. Thus far we know that Bungie will be looking at sprucing up primaries, examining a few Exotics and hopefully not nerfing shotguns – which have become the meta as of late – into the ground.

We’ll see what this means for handcannons as well, especially with all the debate about bloom and range being essential to their viability.

In the midst of all this, it’s important to remember that Activision’s earnings report will be revealed on February 9th. Perhaps more information about Destiny 2 will be revealed. What are your thoughts on the sequel and the current state of Crucible in Destiny? Let us know in the comments.
