Destiny Crucible Rewards Will be Addressed in Future Update

Disappointed with your loot despite top scores? Bungie hears you.

Destiny

If you’ve spent a few hours playing Destiny’s PvP mode, known as the Crucible, you’ll quickly come to the realization that the rewards are a little…lacking. Unlike, say, a Roc Strike which grants blue Engrams and a sizeable number of Vanguard Marks, you’d be lucky to not get the same damn shader again.

Bungie realizes these concerns and in a recent developer Q&A on the forums, stated that, “Crucible rewards are on the low side for sure, an issue we intend to address in a future update.

The developer did justify the RNG mechanics behind the reward system though. “The rewards are random to encourage everyone in the game to play it to completion, rather than only the ‘winners’ staying.” Many community members also agree that it’s a means – not necessarily the best kind – to prevent pre-made teams from steam-rolling everyone and reaping the rewards.

What are your thoughts on Destiny’s Crucible rewards? Let us know in the comments.
