Destiny The Taken King_Crucible 02

In light of Iron Banner returning and update 2.0.1 being released for Destiny, Bungie has taken servers offline for maintenance starting at 9 AM PDT. Maintenance work is expected to finish at 11 AM PDT. Players will have already received a message about the game world going offline so if you’re raiding and ignored it, that’s your loss.

All Destiny services and login functions will be back online after maintenance concludes. PvP players will have Iron Banner to look forward to this week, which should be a little less painful now that update 2.0.1 is removing Shot Package from all the shotguns.

For everyone else, there will be microtransactions allowing you to buy emotes via the Eververse Trading Company run by the returning Tess Everis. All Guardians will receive some free Silver to purchase an emote or two and you can spend real money if you want more.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming Iron Banner and update 2.0.1? Let us know in the comments.
