Destiny Hotfix Address Unlimited Heavies and Supers, Iron Banner Returns

Week-long PvP event returns.

Destiny Iron Banner

Bungie outlined an issue last week in Destiny which allowed players to obtain extra Heavy weapon ammo, which is a pretty big deal in the Crucible where Heavies are the most powerful of weapons. This led to Trials of Osiris being cancelled that weekend but a hotfix has been released just in time for Iron Banner to return.

That’s not all the hotfix addressed. As per Bungie, it also, “Fixed a bug where players could get unlimited Super abilities.” Which is even worse for PvP but that’s also been fixed.

This week’s Iron Banner is in full session and takes place in the Control playlist. The Ironwreath-D side-arm and Ashraven’s Flight fusion rifle are the weapons that can be obtained from Lord Saladin but you’ll also be able to gain packages by ranking up.

Rank 3 gives you a chest piece, gauntlets and PlayStation-exclusive gauntlets. Rank 4 offers fusion rifles while Rank 5 bestows sidearms so you can pretty much receive different rolls on the weapons if you don’t like the vendor versions.
