Destiny of Spirits trademarked by Sony

PS4 launch title?

Sony has trademarked something called “Destiny of Spirits”. The United States Patent & Trademark office reveals that it’s a “computer game software; electronic game software for handheld electronic devices; video game software.”

The trademark was filed on March 26. Could it be a PS4 game? Or even a launch title for the system? That seems unlikely because if they trademarked it now presumably it’s not even in development, but at this stage we can’t really say anything concrete.

Sony has yet to respond to this but we will update you once they do. As the next gen looms, plenty of companies have been filing trademarks with the USPTO. Most of them are related to computer game software so maybe E3 will be the event where they will be officially revealed.

Thanks, Gamespot.
